2021 Occasus Cabernet Sauvignon + 2021 Oriri Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 
Two distinctive expressions of the mountain in one elegant collection. Latin for “sunset,” Occasus pulls from vineyard blocks with a western orientation at elevation. Latin for “sunrise,” Oriri pulls from vineyard blocks with an eastern orientation at low elevation.

2021 Occasus Cabernet Sauvignon: In Latin, the word “Occasus” refers to the setting sun. This Bordeaux blend comes from grapes grown on western-facing slopes of our mountain vineyards, where vines are exposed to warm, sun-filled afternoons. The result is a dark, brambly profile with dense, concentrated flavors. The palette is loaded with rich black fruits, dusted with cocoa powder and hints of spice. This weighty mid-palate gives way to a long, round finish and smooth tannins, complements of the Merlot. We aged the wine for 22 months in French oak barrels for beautiful structure and complexity.

2021 Oriri Estate Cabernet Sauvignon: Oriri, which means “to rise” in Latin, shows precision and balance with bright red fruits and gentle floral notes. This Bordeaux blend comes from grapes grown on eastern-facing slopes of our mountain vineyards, where vines are exposed to warm, sun-filled mornings. The palate is soft and delicate with notes of rainier cherry and red licorice.
