This structured Cabernet opens with aromas of red currant, blackberry and black cherry, accentuated by allspice, cinnamon, anise, and sage. On the palate, abundant, juicy fruit is nicely integrated with oak in a powerful framework that carries through to a lingering finish. In its youth, decant for 1-2 hours before service. Drink 2016 – 2026.

The winter leading up to the 2013 vintage was dry and warm, with most of the seasonal rainfall in December 2012. Warm winter temperatures brought forth bud break two weeks earlier than normal. Spring and summertime temperatures were pleasant, making it an ideal growing season that yielded fruit of superlative quality. The Bordeaux varieties were harvested from September 12 to October 23.
