Perfect abundance marked the 2012 growing season. Plentiful spring rain filled our reserves, and there was no frost during the critical bloom phase. Summer brought a classic California weather pattern, alternating days of morning fog and sun that slowly matured our estate fruit to perfect ripeness. Total yield over all varieties growing on the Spring Mountain Vineyard was 2.25 tons per acre, exceeding the 1.5 tons per acre norm, and making 2012 our most bountiful harvest in twenty years.
